The seminal New York hardcore band Warzone was formed in the mid-'80s by charismatic frontman Ray Beez. During its decade-long career, the lyrically positive band encompassed many members, and released numerous 7-inches and albums that appealed to their underground following, most notably 1996's The Sound of Revolution, produced by Bad Brains' Dr. Know, and 1997's oi!-influenced Fight For Justice, produced by Tony Victory, both on Chicago's Victory Records label.

In 1997 Ray Beez tragically died, putting the future of Warzone in doubt.
